I manage the ongoing development of the Transfer Center and provide oversight and guidance to the Center\'s efforts in areas of print and electronic publications such as newsletters, academic and major planning sheets, website development. Coordinate visitations by university representatives, College Transfer Fairs and transfer related information workshops and major-related sessions. Understand and interpret university admissions policies, course expectations and transfer articulation agreements for students, faculty and staff. Prepare and empower students for smooth transition to the baccalaureate institutions.

ABOUT SIEW LAI LILLEY
I graduated from the University of Illinois with a master\'s degree in Asian Studies in 1983.After graduation, I attended Northern Illinois University and completed a number of graduate level history courses. At that time, my area of focus was Southeast Asian history. I was very interested in learning about the history, peoples and cultures of that region and over the years, have enjoyed meeting people from a multitude of backgrounds and experiences.I truly enjoy working with college students! I am passionate about helping them reach their potential and accomplishing their academic and career goals. However, it is also a two-way street in that I have learned many valuable lessons over the years from students who share their personal stories with me. I consider it an honor that they trust me with giving them sound advice regarding their educational planning.I have over 20 years of experience working with diverse student populations in a variety of settings, both within Student Services and Instruction. It has been a wonderful experience for me to have worked in Multicultural Student Services, International Student Programs, Tutoring, Educational Planning and Advising and now, in the College Transfer Center.Recognized for my leadership skills, I am entrusted with managing a variety of projects, especially in enhancing the experiences of transfer students. I enjoy coordinating transfer related workshops and the college transfer fairs on campus. Our transfer events are always well attended by students. I also receive highly positive feedback from the attendees.I have also acquired new skills in technology such as maintaining websites, always keeping in mind that students should be able to find the information they need quickly and effectively.I am always on the lookout for innovative ways to present the information more efficiently to students.
