Sierra is a dynamic professional with a Master\'s of Business Administration, specializing in Management. She has nearly ten years of experience in the commercial insurance industry. As a Regent\'s Scholar, Sierra was the recipient of multiple scholarships that funded much of her degree. Additionally, she is a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and has completed several certifications and training programs in sales and business-to-business relationship management.Sierra\'s extensive career spans across commercial insurance, retail management, and teaching and training. In 2019, she became the youngest instructor at Alaska Career College, teaching her first college-level course, Organizational Behavior, while continuing to excel in her role in the insurance industry. She later joined Berkley North Pacific, a regional insurance carrier, as an Executive Underwriter in 2020, where she implemented innovative ideas for company growth and culture. Currently, Sierra serves as a Territory Manager at Nationwide for the Bay Area, LA, and the PNW leveraging her eight years of experience in property & casualty insurance underwriting and territory management.Beyond her professional endeavors, community service is at the core of Sierra\'s values. She has donated hundreds of community service hours and served as the Executive Director of the Miss Anchorage Scholarship Program in 2018, where she tripled the size of the scholarship fund within six months. Sierra has also served for over four years as the Community Service Chair on the Executive Board of the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals Group, the largest young professionals\' organization in the State of Alaska. Within this group, she helped coordinate three annual Young Professionals Summits with 200+ attendees and over 30 local and visiting speakers. Sierra has also hosted two gift drives benefiting local nonprofits and two sessions of speed mentoring benefiting over 60 local university students. Now that she resides in Seattle she has volunteered with a few different local organizations. She attributes her success to her honest hard work, willingness to engage in difficult conversations, and resiliency, all of which have helped her become a strong professional. On a more personal note, Sierra is an avid podcast listener, outdoors enthusiast, and traveler. She loves organizing events and travel for her community of friends and just getting out to enjoy the rich nature of the PNW.
