About Joseph S.

I lead end-to-end Clinical Order Management within SAP, owning the oversight, execution, and optimization of clinical supply orders across a large portfolio of global studies. I partner strategically with Trial Supply Managers, Clinical Operations, and downstream supply chain teams to resolve high-risk order failures, expedite time-critical shipments, and mitigate patient-impacting disruptions. My role directly supports study continuity and patient access across multiple therapeutic programs.I served as a key contributor to the successful integration of Celgene materials into the BMS clinical supply network, aligning legacy processes, SAP configurations, and operational workflows to ensure uninterrupted order execution post-integration. I continue to support the Global Clinical Order Management organization through data-driven reporting, operational governance, and scalable automation.I architected and deployed multiple automation solutions using SAP scripting, Excel VBA, and SharePoint that eliminated manual, error-prone processes and significantly reduced operational fatigue. One flagship solution automated order intake and processing at scale—an initiative that proved critical during COVID-era remote operations and remains embedded in daily execution, delivering sustained efficiency gains and improved data integrity. With a strong systems mindset, I design solutions that integrate SAP transactional data into SharePoint dashboards, providing near real-time visibility into failed orders, exception trends, and ownership accountability. These tools trigger automated alerts and enable rapid root-cause analysis, materially improving response times, cross-functional alignment, and decision-making at both operational and leadership levels.Additional leadership initiatives include automating the ingestion and structuring of Clinical Management System communications into SharePoint, enabling proactive cross-referencing of site activations against SAP setup. This early-warning capability has prevented downstream order failures and reduced study startup risk before patient supply is impacted.I bring a continuous-improvement and transformation mindset to Clinical Supply, with a vision of delivering Amazon-like operational excellence—high-velocity execution, precision, and full transparency. As leaders of the “last mile” in clinical supply, my team and I function as the early signal for systemic risk and the final safeguard for patients, ensuring life-saving therapies reach the right place, at the right time, without compromise
