About Sidney Christensen
Hi! I’m Sidney, a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a B.S. in Data Science and minors in Statistics & Mathematics (GPA: 3.961, summa cum laude honors).Over the past several years, I’ve built a strong foundation in quantitative analysis, statistical modeling, and business intelligence. I recently earned the Business Intelligence & Data Analyst (BIDA®) certification from the Corporate Finance Institute (CFI), further strengthening my skills in data analysis, visualization, and financial applications. My academic journey has been supported by honors such as the Pegasus Silver Scholarship and the UCF Mathematics Department Learning Assistant Award.My professional experience spans both data management and data analytics. As a Quantitative Research Intern at MCAP LLC, I developed Python-based tools to analyze evolving statistical relationships between financial instruments, incorporating Bloomberg data and predictive modeling. At Money Habitudes, I led a CRM migration from HubSpot to Zoho, designed automated CRM workflows, and extracted, preprocessed, and analyzed sales data for stakeholder infographics.I’ve also had the privilege of serving as a Lead Learning Assistant for Calculus I, supporting over students and strengthening my ability to translate complex concepts into accessible explanations, which is a skill I now bring to data and finance.Projects such as building an AAPL forecasting model using an LSTM and creating an interactive Power BI investment dashboard have allowed me to combine technical tools with practical applications in markets and portfolio analysis.I am eager to bring this mix of data science and analytical experience into mortgage lending and credit analysis as I begin my career as a Credit Analyst at NewDay USA!
