Leading qualitative research with over 100 small-scale fishers in Zanzibar to assess community engagement, barriers, and opportunities related to fisheries data use and climate resilience-Actively participating in regional knowledge exchanges and stakeholder consultations, presenting research outcomes at workshops and forums to influence policy and promote sustainable, inclusive fisheries governance-Collaborating with key stakeholders, including the Zanzibar Small Fishers’ Cooperative Union (ZASFICU) and regional partners, to co-develop practical toolkits and data collection frameworks that center community-driven fisheries management-Implementing participatory methods, including over 50 semi-structured interviews and photovoice workshops, to document local knowledge, lived experiences, and climate adaptation practices among coastal fishing communities
