   As the marketing director for ACAC, I am responsible for promoting the arts in Abilene. I put out monthly and quarterly e-newsletters I have built up to 5,400 subscribers. I have doubled our social media audience on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and regularly post to YouTube. An important part of this job is having a good relationship with local media outlets and scheduling regular interviews on TV, radio and in print to promote our events and distributing news releases. I helped build up our Children\'s Art & Literacy Festival attendance by 40 percent the first year and 36 percent the next year through various marketing strategies and partnerships. We regularly reach out to new groups in Abilene to recruit volunteers for the festival. About 300 volunteers make the festival possible. At the Texas Commission on the Arts 2015 conference in Austin I delivered a presentation on \"Marketing: Reaching New Audiences.\" I regularly deliver PowerPoint and video presentations on our arts programming and CALF festival to civic groups in Abilene. As the arts editor for Abilene Scene magazine, a publication the ACAC partners with, I communicate with the arts groups about story planning, photos and calendar content as well as contribute my own content to the magazine for our programs. I create advertising products for our programs for various media outlets with whom we partner and update and create brochures, flyers and maps as needed.
