The most thrilling part was covering the conflict zones of Bastar in Chhattisgarh. And then tracking the reverse migration, sparked by the covid-19-induced lockdown, in Madhya Pradesh.At 17, after graduating from school, I landed my first job at McDonald\'s as a crew member. There I learnt the skills of communication and understood the value of labor and team work. Later, I also worked as a tour guide in New Delhi, while still in college. While being a journalist, I volunteered to teach communication skills at a school in Bhopal for a year. These experiences gave me transferrable strengths that I use to be a better writer. These include empathy, humility, storytelling and the knowledge of audience preferences.Apart from writing, I like to read fiction and play sports. For almost 10 years now, I have been working on improving my strength and conditioning. Long-distance running is a sport I particularly enjoy. After four half-marathons, my personal best is 2 hours 5 minutes.
