About Siddhartha Kalita

I am an Investment Consultant based out of Mercer’s Norwalk office. I have over 19 years of experience in the Actuarial/Investments industry, with around 16 years with Mercer in US and in India. I work extensively in the fields of Retirement and Investments consulting and my clients are, primarily, plan sponsors of Defined Benefit (DB) and Defined Contribution (DC) plans. My expertise include DC and DB plan designs, investment performance monitoring, Investments due diligence, DC plan structure optimization, DB funding strategies, statutory valuations of DB plans, plan accounting under US GAAP & International Accounting Standards, risk management and risk transfer strategies for DB plans. Prior to transferring to Mercer’s Norwalk office in 2012, I was responsible for setting up and developing an Actuarial team for Mercer’s Global Shared Service Center located in India. In the role of a Service Delivery Leader, I was responsible for setting up of processes and teams, knowledge transfer, cost optimization and operational excellence. I started my career in the life insurance consulting industry where I worked on experience studies, product pricing and new business modelling for Indian life insurers.I am an Associate of Institute & Faculty of Actuaries, UK, and an Associate of the Society of Actuaries, USA.
