About Siddharth Jaggavarapu

I\'m a molecular biologist and diagnostics scientist with over a decade of experience at the intersection of infectious diseases, molecular diagnostics, and synthetic biology. My work spans academic research, clinical collaborations, and biotechnology innovation.In academia, I led research into the evolution of antibiotic and antifungal resistance in drug-resistant pathogens such as Candida auris and MRSA, resulting in multiple publications in Nature Medicine, Lancet Microbe, Nature Microbiology, and Molecular Cell. My projects integrated microbiome sequencing, resistance profiling, and in silico tools to uncover genomic features driving treatment failure.In industry, I developed rapid molecular assays at Talis Biomedical, including a LAMP-based diagnostic for Staphylococcus aureus that delivers results in under 30 minutes. I also contributed to assay panels for respiratory viruses and STIs. Currently, I’m part of a synthetic biology startup using CRISPR-based genome engineering and homologous recombination to build scalable platforms for long DNA assembly.I bring a unique blend of deep technical expertise and translational mindset (moving science from bench to bedside). I thrive in cross-functional teams where biology, engineering, and computation converge to build novel diagnostic solutions.I\'m always open to connecting with others passionate about diagnostics, AMR, and the future of synthetic biology.
