Having worn my analyst hat for almost 5 years (see below), I am now ALSO working on software development (both dev and QA) to a) Leverage Amazon Q to make code changes, test, and get prod ready b) Better understand the backend framework that supports important surveillances c) Be thrown into the deep end of a totally new challenge- Working in a hybrid Agile/Waterfall structure to orchestrate proper functioning of surveillances spanning the US Equity markets- Liaise with business stakeholders to define roadmaps, cross collaborate across data teams, analyze market data (often writing complex SQL queries to build prototypes), identify business logic, work with engineers to deliver accurate deliverables, often working with budgets >$200k- Conduct Root Cause Analyses of malfunctioning surveillances, identify data issues to improve FINRA\'s largest data source (Pattern Optimized Datamart (POD))- Portfolio includes Customer Order Handling, Trade Reporting, Equities Quoting surveillances. Overall handled an excess of 15 surveillances over my career at FINRA. Act as an SME combining surveillance rule and deep data knowledge of the Consolidated Audit Trail (CAT), one of the largest repository of market equities and options data.
