   I lead undergraduate club members in advancing the CORE Kidney Program’s mission of Clinical Excellence, Outreach, Research, and Education.In collaboration with Program Director Dr. Anjay Rastogi, I oversee \"CORE Kidney Clinical\", an umbrella initiative that includes a clinical observership program fostering longitudinal patient interactions, a patient integration project that coordinates nephrology appointments as an intermediary between patients and physicians, and the day-to-day management of clinical operations. I take ownership of process improvement by tracking turnaround times and recommending workflow changes to enhance efficiency and patient compliance.I help recruit patients for clinical trials and contribute research abstracts on topics such as rare kidney disease complications. I’m also developing three new initiatives to expand our research and clinical impact:\"Kidney Health in Your Neighborhood\", which brings continuity-of-care models for outreach events;\"Patients in the Know\", which shows patients what clinical trials they are eligible for and might benefit them as well as helps patients to make informed decisions about their participation; and the \"Patient Advocate Network\", which connects patients with trained advocates for ongoing support.Beyond clinical and research work, I manage podcast production, edit and produce monthly content—including monthly \"chat\" webinars, healthy cooking demonstrations, and other educational videos—and support outreach initiatives such as the CORE Kidney Gala, our float in the Rose Parade, health fairs, and recent city council proclamations. I also teach a seminar that covers topics including kidney physiology, disease prevention, nutrition, health disparities, and health advocacy, helping students build academic confidence and learn how to address inequities in healthcare.I am driven to equip patients to be their own best advocates—and to carry this purpose forward into my future career in healthcare.
