   As a Clinical Psychology Extern at Youth Development Clinic, an outpatient and community-based nonprofit organization serving Newark youth and families since 1958, I engage in clinical training across both school and clinic-based settings to support underserved populations and multidisciplinary systems of care.Outpatient Clinic-Based Services- Provide individual, family, and group therapy to children, adolescents, and caregivers using modalities such as play therapy, TF-CBT, PCIT, DBT, and CBT, addressing common concerns like anxiety, ADHD, trauma, depression, and parent-child relational difficulties- Conduct intake and DCPP-referred psychological assessments, helping inform treatment plans and support family stabilization and reunification.School-Based & Community-Based Services (Quitman Street School)- Deliver in-school mental health counseling within school settings- Participate in teacher and staff trainings, workshops, and consultations, covering topics like trauma-informed approaches, classroom behavior management, cultural competence, and early childhood development strategies, to build capacity within partner schools.
