Finance lead for the Partners in Canadian Veterans Rehabilitation Services (PCVRS) Program, a contract with Veteran Affairs Canada to provide timely access to a range of medical, psycho – social and vocational services to support the unique needs of Canadian Armed Forces veterans.• Finance Lead for the Medical Assessments division, overseeing end-to-end finance functions including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance.• Built financial planning, reporting, and control mechanisms from the ground up for PCVRS related cost centers within the organization and created reports that provide insights into the program’s financial standing including accounts receivable and accounts payable.• Established the Claims team for PCVRS from the ground up, including hiring, process design, and organizational structure, which streamlined operations and generated new revenue streams.• Participated in monthly/quarterly/annual close process by ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of Financial Reporting to support internal and external stakeholders.• Identified structural discrepancies in financial processes and implemented corrective measures to strengthen accuracy and compliance.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (inside and outside of Finance) to address any discrepancies and streamline reporting processes, as well as to gather relevant data and insights for financial analysis.• Served as a Finance business partner for divisional leadership to align financial strategies with business objectives and growth initiatives.• Participated in the monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes, working closely with department heads to ensure alignment with overall business goals.
