I am an actuary, who is actively pursuing fellowship qualification from IFoA, UK. Currently I work as an Actuarial Analyst at WTW in the Insurance Consulting and Technology (ICT) business, with close to 2 years of experience in the UK Life Insurance Reserving domain. Actuarial exam progress: CM1, CS1, CB1, CB2 and CB3 (5/13) cleared. Sitting CP3 in April 2026.My work experience involves performing end-to-end quarterly and annual valuations for large UK life insurers as part of the actuarial outsourcing practice at WTW. I have contributed to two of WTW’s major outsourcing engagements:\'Project Beam\'- Sun Life UK (now acquired by Phoenix Group and hence offboarded from WTW) and \'Project Chesnara\'- Chesnara PLC. My responsibilities primarily include supporting valuation of life insurance assets and liabilities, performing data validation and checks, analysing model outputs, and contributing to actuarial reporting processes. I have also worked on actuarial softwares including RAFM and DV to generate, review, and validate valuation results. During this tenure, I have gained practical exposure to life insurance valuation frameworks and regulatory reporting standards in the UK market, including IFRS 17 and Solvency II. This experience has strengthened my analytical rigour and understanding of the processes required to perform financial reporting within the highly regulated life insurance markets.I am a diligent and well-organised person with strong grounds in Mathematics and Statistics.    Project Beam (Sun Life UK):Major valuation tasks - Monthly assets valuation and reporting. Perform data checks and validation on Excel models. Set-up assumptions for quarterly liability valuation under both IFRS 17 and SII regimes. Calculating various manual reserves as part of liability valuation and reporting. Set-up runs in Trinity to calculate quarterly reserves and produce LoB-wise checks & commentary on movements across different AoC steps. Preparation of reporting spreadhseets and reconciliation reports for client meetings. Populate OVTs to check IFRS 17 CSM Engine run results. Calculation of quarterly SCR and setting up technical provisions under different sensitivity scenarios. Carry out Data Reconciliation work to ensure no leakage during model runs.Major non-valuation tasks - ACMA (Assumption Changes & Management Actions) for different non-economic factors. Business Planning under SII regime. Solving auditor queries related to actuarial model computations.
