A passionate Mechanical Engineering graduate with a demonstrated history of working in the Power Generation Industry for 8 years in project, commissioning, control room operation and maintenance, completed 4th class power engineer certification with TSSA, Ontario.I started my career as an engineer in trainee in a captive power plant of 12.5mw capacity and my passion to learn and contribute made me progress through my career to become an engineer(commissioning and operation) at 150*6 MW captive power plant at the Aditya Birla group.Equipment Handled- 500tph(31951BHP) Natural circulation water tube boiler, 150mw steam turbine, 3 stage centrifugal compressors, 800cfm oil-injected screw compressors, axial and radial fans, Centrifugal multistage pumps, 300tr vapour absorption machine and compression chiller, air handling units and air washers.Key Accomplishments:• Saved unit from potential blackout during all rectifier tripping and unit sustained on house load where unit load came from 130 MW to 9 MW and received recognition from management.• Initiated an improvement project to reduce labour cost to handle pulverizer rejects by implementing an automated system to be operated from the distributed control system which reduced labour cost by 20%.• Coordinated projects to reduce APC. Station auxiliary power consumption was a key area for saving, calculated the consumption of major high voltage drives and determined the areas of improvement and reduced station auxiliary consumption from 8.27% to 7.8%. Specializations:• Commissioning- Ensure proper installation, perform tests and monitor progress.• Boiler Turbine operation and Maintenance- Safe start-up and shut down and continuous monitoring of unit from DCS, preparing equipment for preventive maintenance and assist in general repair.• Planning and Performance Monitoring- Prepare reports and calculations for key performance indicators.
