ABOUT SIAN DUCKWORTH
I am currently a UX designer at Tesco, focusing on the in-store and tills experience. With a primary focus on enhancing the in-store checkout process for millions of customers.With a background in media and communications, I hold an MSC in User Experience Design. My academic journey has fuelled my passion for understanding the growth and impact of technology on individuals and communities- As a young black woman from a lower socio-economic background working in technology, I am enthusiastic about empowering upcoming designers and utilising my voice to advocate for underrepresented groups in technology positions. I currently volunteer for the award winning “NO Coding” tech developmental initiative @techrootz, which aims to bring more minority groups into the tech sector
