Following five years as a Sustainability manager, I have evolved my position to focus on Purpose & Impact. Sustainability is all encompassing - it requires technical understanding and ability to undertake carbon accounting; and it requires people skills to get buy in and enable a culture change. Sustainability manager didn\'t quite feel like it captured the essence of how central this was to our organisation, and how core it was to our purpose. Redefining my role has helped to bring clarity in driving us forward as a purpose-led company, focusing on the processes and ability to evidence our impact, whilst getting buy-in from all levels.
