Investment actuary and responsible investment specialist providing consultancy for DB pension schemes, charities and insurance companies. Areas of work have included- Responsible investment advice to pension schemes, retail investment trusts and insurance companies- Investment strategy and implementation advice to trustees and in-house teams of the largest UK pension schemes, including implementation of various climate and sustainability related mandates covering equities, equity derivatives and credit- ESG risk reportingResearch- Responsible Investment team member- Impact investing (climate impact, nature-based solutions, social impact) across listed equity, public credit and real assets- Regenerative agriculture- Climate adaptation- Transition infrastructure- Impact credit- Microfinance- Social housing- Biodiversity equities- Climate solutions equitiesI was a member of the Sustainability Board at the Actuarial Profession, specialising in the connection between Sustainable Development Goals and work taking place within the profession. I have been involved with helping incorporate sustainability-related materials within the core syllabus and to create a sustainability-focused actuarial course for qualified actuaries. I write articles on sustainable investment opportunities. I have developed internal infrastructure (generally VBA and excel based) for ESG risk / sustainable impact monitoring.
