ABOUT SHYAMASUNDAR HEGDE

Seasoned professional with about two decades of experience in IT industry with 17 years of it in Arm. I have about 10+ years of experience with technical and people management roles managing global teams. Currently working as Senior Manager for HPC Infrastructure and Applications team in arm leading a global team of senior engineers. I have worked in various other positions at arm within IT team such as - Technical manager for Asiapac region, IT infrastructure manager, Senior HPC team lead, IBM LSF administrator, VDI (ETX) and Linux administrator and senior system administrator.As a people manager I have been leading a global team responsible for deploying, maintaining and enhancing HPC applications. Responsible for setting goals and objectives and ensuring career progression for the team. It includes hiring, regular performance review and recommendations. Coaching and mentoring and motivating the team for high performance. As a technical manager leading the HPC team which involves implementing and managing various HPC applications for arm globally both on-premise as well as in the public cloud AWS and GCP. Supporting the technologies such as IBM LSF, VDI solution, EDA tools and licenses and other HPC tools. Accountable for supporting all Requests, Incidents, Changes through ServiceNow and ensure they are addresses within SLA. Responsible for maintaining the overall budget for application including license and support contracts. Collaboration with Engineering leads, project managers and stakeholders around compute cluster usage and resource demand forecast.
