About Shuyao Wang
As a graduate student at Northeastern University majoring in Computer Software Engineering with extensive industry experience, I have developed a diverse skill set that enables me to deliver innovative solutions. During my time at the Agriculture Bank of China, I worked as a Software Development Engineer. I was part of a Technology and Product Management Team that supported product innovation and project operation and maintenance. I designed and implemented an algorithm for farmers’ subsidy payment system that automatically corrected and reported bad data, eliminating human intervention in the data processing workflow. Additionally, I designed and delivered the medical insurance subsidy platform using Java, QCloud framework, Vue, and NodeJS, providing services for more than 5 million users in Henan province.At Newcapec Electronics Co, Ltd, I worked as a Java Engineer Intern and developed a smart home control system using Java, Java Servlet, and Java Server Pages. My experience in software development also extends to personal projects such as developing an online house marketplace website using NodeJS/Express, React, and Redux. I implemented RESTful APIs for users to find and list houses for sale or rent, combined with Google Map APIs and Sign-In APIs to provide geolocation information and sign-in services. I also built an Android app for live pet broadcasts called Cloud Cat with functions such as shopping, live streaming, and social media, using Java and Springboot for the back-end.My experience and skills have honed my abilities to navigate the complexities of securing services and making them launch-ready.
