ABOUT SHUWEN YANG

As a bilingual social work professional, I am driven by a passion for creating meaningful change, one individual and one community at a time. My mission is to empower vulnerable populations, particularly youth and immigrant communities, by fostering access to education, resources, and opportunities that nurture the next generation of problem solvers and leaders. With over 8 years of experience working in the nonprofit world, I have developed a deep understanding of how to design and implement impactful programs that meet the needs of diverse communities. I excel in assessing program effectiveness, building partnerships, and driving initiatives that advance social equity and inclusion. As a Licensed Master Social Worker, I bring a strong foundation in social work leadership and program management. I earned my master’s degree in M.S. Social Work, specializing in International Social Welfare with a method concentration in Social Enterprise Administration from Columbia School of Social Work. I earned my bachelor’s degree in B.S. Chemistry from University of California, Los Angeles. I’m always excited to connect with like-minded professionals, collaborate on innovative projects, or share insights in nonprofit program development and community engagement.
