ABOUT SHUN OHARA
Shun has been working in entertainment for the better part of a decade, after migrating over from a career in Computer Science and Informatics. After receiving his degree from Nagoya University in Japan, Shun worked for IBM Global Services for over 3 years as an Engineer and Project Manager, before discovering a passion for film. He left IBM to study the various avenue of filmmaking and ended up at Eleven Arts, where he currently stands as the VP of Distribution. Shun’s broad knowledge-base of Final Cut, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, HTML and JavaScript, among other technical programs, paired with experience in North American theatrical distribution, international film sales and organizing marketing strategies makes him an invaluable asset. Shun built up the new business model of theatrical distribution in the USA and Canada for foreign films and acquired the incomparable status especially in Japanese animation dealing some big names such as EVANGELION & FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST, which opened more than 100 screens in nationwide.
