   Run day-to-day operations of the Geotechnical Department. Oversee the Geotechnical Laboratory & advise the Materials Testing Department. Responsible for department profitability & revenue growth (reached 30%+ per year since hire). Obtain & maintain client relationships with energy companies (utility providers & power system designers) on both national and local levels (including cities), commercial & residential real estate developers and home builders. Projects include transmission lines, substations, solar/wind farms, apartment buildings, soil/slope retaining structures, etc. Write proposals, contracts, master service agreement (MSA). Enter qualified consultant pools and manage the bidding for large-scale projects. Manage geotechnical field work, assign laboratory tests, perform analysis and write geotechnical reports. Experienced on deep foundation design (e.g. using LPILE software), retaining wall design, seismic site-specific analysis, liquefaction analysis, soft ground improvement, Finite Difference Analysis (FLAC), SPT/CPT Interpretation, pavement design, slope stability analysis, etc. Analyze geological hazards including slope stability, landslide, fault, debris flow, rock fall, etc. with geologist. Provide expert witness services, forensic engineering analysis and testimonies in depositions or trials. Write expert reports for attorneys. Assess and manage liability/risk of projects and report directly to Company President.
