About Shubrajit Bhaumik

Shubrajit Bhaumik earned his B.Tech in Mechanical Engg, Masters in Computer-Aided Design, and his Doctoral degree in the area of Tribology. Dr. Bhaumik has been working with several industries in different areas of Tribology since 2006 and has completed several projects that resulted in Energy Savings by the industries. Dr. Bhaumik has hands-on experience in hard-face welding, open-gear inspections, and lubricants. His research interests include nano and green tribology, energy-efficient lubricants and solutions for minimizing friction and wear. Apart from working with reputed industries, Dr. Bhaumik also worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engg, SRM Institute of Science and Technology Kattankulathur Campus, and has published many articles in both National and International conferences and journals. He initiated the Tribology Research Laboratory which is an active laboratory producing several industry-ready solutions. Presently he is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Chennai Campus, and also, the Centre Head of Tribology and Interactive Surfaces Research Laboratory (TRISUL) at Amrita Chennai Campus. Dr. Bhaumik is well experienced with several wear test rigs, particularly in the areas of nano-lubricants and energy-efficient lubricants.
