About Shubhashis Sengupta
I am the Managing Director of Technology Innovation for APAC for Accenture. I oversee activities of Technology Incubation Group, Accenture Ventures and Open Innovation and Studios in the APAC market. I also lead Accenture Technology Labs India. I have more than 24 years of Technology Innovation, Industrial R&D, IP development and Consulting experience. In addition to leading applied research for Accenture Labs India, I also lead a client co-innovation endeavor where I partner with key stakeholders from clients and the Accenture ecosystem to bring cutting-edge AI and future thinking into clients\' innovation agenda and processes. Prior to joining Accenture, I was an Architect with Oracle Corp working on Fusion middleware and Cloud. Previously, I initiated and headed Grid and high-performance computing lab at Infosys research and consulted extensively in multiple domains. I started my career as an MIS manager with Tata Motors.I am a Ph.D. in systems from the Indian Institute of Calcutta and obtained Bachelor of Engineering from Jadavpur University. I have more than 70 journal and conference papers, 50+ granted patents worldwide to my credit. I support and remain active in the technology community through the following:• Senior member of ACM and Senior Member of computer society• Founding member of India chapter.• Mentoring startups in the AI space.I take a keen interest in mapping the technology landscape, futurology and intersection of science, industry and education. I live in Bangalore with my wife and two sons.
