ABOUT SHUBHANGI ARVELLI
I am a dedicated and innovative researcher pursuing my PhD in the Department of Grain Science and Industry at Kansas State University. With a strong foundation in Agricultural Engineering and a Master’s in Post-Harvest Technology from IARI New Delhi, my academic journey has been fueled by a passion for advancing food science, microbial safety, and fermentation technology. My research encompasses a broad spectrum of topics, including the fermentation-based synthesis of antioxidant compounds (such as astaxanthin) from fungi utilizing food waste, and the application of cold plasma technology for microbial disinfection in pulses. I’m driven by the desire to contribute to innovations in food science, biotechnology, and microbial safety. I’m always open to new collaborations and learning opportunities in research and development within the food and grain industries.
