Appointed to lead the multi-year modernization of a major Canadian financial institution’s mutual fund transfer agency platform. The initiative involves transitioning from a legacy mainframe-based system to a modern, cloud-native architecture built on Java Spring Framework and Oracle Database.Key responsibilities- Leading end-to-end delivery of the modernization program, integrating two recordkeeping platforms into a unified, scalable SaaS solution- Managing cross-functional delivery teams across architecture, development, testing, and release management- Overseeing program governance, risk mitigation, and financial tracking to ensure delivery within scope, budget, and timeline- Driving stakeholder engagement across business, operations, and technology groups to support change management and adoption- Facilitating Executive Steering Committees and senior stakeholder forums to ensure strategic alignment, executive sponsorship, and timely decision-making- Managing vendor relationships, including performance oversight, contract adherence, and delivery coordination- Leading resourcing strategy, team onboarding, and capacity planning across cross-functional delivery teams- Applying CGI’s continuous evolution and IP-based delivery practices to ensure long-term sustainability and innovation.This role places me at the forefront of one of Canada’s most significant financial services technology transformations, enabling future-ready operations through disciplined execution and modern engineering.
