I am Shubham Kumar, a student at IIT Bombay with a strong passion for quantitative finance, investment research, and market dynamics. I enjoy applying data-driven techniques to solve complex financial problems and optimize decision-making in trading and portfolio management.I have a strong foundation in quantitative finance, investment research, and risk management, with expertise in financial modeling, portfolio optimization, and algorithmic trading. My analytical approach allows me to leverage statistical modeling, machine learning, and econometrics to extract meaningful insights from financial data. I have worked extensively with factor-based investing, derivatives pricing models, and backtesting strategies, demonstrating proficiency in Python, SQL, and Excel to develop systematic trading and valuation models. By applying Monte Carlo simulations, Black-Scholes, and binomial tree models, I have assessed option pricing and risk exposure. Additionally, I have worked on investment strategy design and backtesting, implementing a Fama-French Three-Factor model that achieved a 38.95 percent return while maintaining optimized risk-adjusted performance. My experience also includes conducting competitor analysis on algo trading APIs and financial data services, enhancing execution efficiency and strategic investment insights.Beyond finance, I have taken on leadership roles at IIT Bombay, developing strong team management, strategic planning, and execution skills.
