ABOUT SHUBHAM KASTIYA

I am currently working at UBISOFT Leamington/Reflections UK as Junior Programmer, contributing to both the UI and Intel Gameplay teams. My passion for gaming started when I began creating animation videos in multimedia flash and attempted to develop a Mario game using Visual Basic.During my undergraduate studies, I had the opportunity to attend NTU Singapore for a summer exchange program, where I took courses in game development and 3D programming. This experience fueled my determination to enter the gaming industry. Although I initially worked as a web and.NET developer, my enthusiasm for gaming led me to pursue a game design course for a year. This path eventually brought me to Kingston University, London, where I completed an MSc in Game Development with a Professional Placement year.While at Kingston, I worked on various games and technologies, including VR/AR, Kinect, and the Nintendo Balance Board. For my final year project, I collaborated with a startup to create a game that helped children with special needs improve their motor skills using the Nintendo Balance Board. Additionally, I worked part-time as a sensei at Code Ninjas, teaching kids Lua and Roblox for game development and animation.My extensive knowledge of Unity, C#, and C++, coupled with my hands-on experience, helped me secure a position at Ubisoft Reflections. Initially, I joined the Assassin\'s Creed VR project as a Junior Programmer but transitioned to a new IP as the AC VR project neared its final release.Beyond my technical role, I am an active member of the UBISOFT Studio Ambassador Team, participating in career events to share insights and guidance with students aspiring to enter the gaming industry.My Website: http://kastiya-portfolio.c1.biz/
