Shubhajit is currently working as Vice President, Deutsche Bank.Prior to this, he was the Director and Practice Head of Credit Research, Risk and Operations Team at Sutherland and managed teams of credit and data analysts involved in extensive financial modeling, conducting deep dive credit research on companies across sectors in UK, US & AsiaPac geographies for client desks. He was responsible for overall delivery, global stakeholder management for client accounts, and building relationships for account farming and business growth.He has covered and supervised teams covering assets like High Yield/Investment Grade Bonds and Loans, Convertibles, Distressed Debt, Counterparty Credit Risk, Ratings, and Structured Finance asset classes within Fixed Income; involved in evaluating investable opportunities and performing pre-investment and post-investment analysis for Global Asset Managers (IB’s Asset Management Desk, Alternative Investment Management Firms, Direct Lending Funds, and Hedge Funds) across their global, sector agnostic portfolios. Research deliveries across the Investment life-cycle typically include building/updating Credit Models, formulating Investment Memos, Thematic Reports, Recommend Actionable Trade Ideas, and Monitor portfolios for earnings and events. With a demonstrated history of working in the Investment Research industry for around 17 years, he has 10 years of experience, focused on building and managing high-performing analytical teams in the Credit Research, Risk and Operations domain across Performing and Opportunistic Credit Strategies.Previously, as an Analyst, he has covered the US and European high-yield companies across sectors such as Business Equipment & Services (Aerospace & Defense), US Electric Utilities, Independent Power Producers (US), and Telecom. His experience spans CLO/Leveraged Loan, HY, and IG asset classes with expertise in evaluating credits from an investment perspective. He is an MBA in Finance from ICFAI and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Calcutta University. He also holds Certification in ESG from CFA Institute.Outside of work, he is an avid food blogger and traveler and is currently attempting photography.
