About Shruti Vatsa

I’m a neuroscience researcher interested in a simple but endlessly fascinating question: how do humans make decisions when the world is uncertain?My academic training is in neuroscience and engineering, and my work focuses on decision-making, behavioural data, and computational analysis. I enjoy building experiments, working with data in R and Python, and thinking carefully about how structure, uncertainty, and context shape human behavior.Alongside research, I’m a co-founder of Chuckles Art Studio, a space where I explore ideas through art, design, and visual storytelling. What started as a creative outlet has grown into a small but meaningful startup, and for me, it reflects the same curiosity that drives my research: noticing patterns, asking questions, and trying to understand how people think and feel.I don’t see science and creativity as separate worlds. Both are ways of making sense of complexity; one through models and data, the other through design and intuition. Moving between the two keeps me grounded, curious, and open to new ways of thinking.I enjoy interdisciplinary work, thoughtful conversations, and collaborations that sit at the intersection of human behaviour, data, and creative expression. I’m always happy to connect with people who enjoy asking good questions and building things with intention.
