I want to be a writer.\" When my peer group dreamed of being doctors, scientists, and engineers, my dream was to put pen to paper and channel my imagination into the written word. Over the years, as I moved from city to city, school to school, and attained a BA in Communications, words were my source of comfort in an ever-changing world. Back then, I didn\'t know being a writer wasn\'t as glamorous and easy as I thought it to be. So I shifted my focus to jobs that would allow me to use my writing skills in unique ways and explore the creative freedom that came within the slightly conventional rules of the corporate world. As far as career goes, I\'d say I\'ve been pretty lucky in being able to work closely with content. What I didn\'t factor was how my skill set would diversify to include team management, quality improvement, client management, and a love for collaborating with people. I became a problem solver, a mentor, an SME, and at the core of it, a leader with a passion for bringing out the best in her team and watching them thrive. The best part about my 10+ years of work experience? I have grown. And I have learned. I have known what it means to inspire confidence in children as young as 8 and motivate adults much older than me. I have learned the beauty of sharing my knowledge and the humility to accept my faults. I have known failure and despair and I have also derived pleasure from the simplest successes. And all the while, I have added and tapped into my repertoire of experiences to help me put my best foot forward.
