About Shruti Muralidas

I\'m a Product Designer who thinks deeply about what brings a user to a given moment in a product: what they\'re feeling, what they need, and what the experience has to communicate to move them forward. That\'s where I start, and everything else follows from there.I\'m drawn to complex problems, where user needs, business goals, and technical constraints are all pulling in different directions. I think in systems, and finding clarity in that complexity is what I do best. I\'ve worked across Health Tech, FinTech, and B2B SaaS, end-to-end across research, information architecture, interaction design, design systems, and high-fidelity prototyping in Figma.My front-end background in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript means I prototype at high fidelity, speak engineers\' language, and hand off designs that hold up in production.I hold an M.S. in Human-Computer Interaction from the University of Maryland, and I\'m at my best on collaborative teams that care deeply about the people using what they build.

   Guide Client-Driven Ai Engagement Platform

   Aug 2024 — Present

   Guide is a health tech startup building a client engagement platform for therapists. As the sole Product Designer, I owned end-to-end design, from research and IA through interaction design, prototyping, and design systems, across web and mobile.• Restructured platform information architecture to a dashboard-first design, increasing therapist daily active usage by 40% and fundamentally changing how clinicians engaged with the product.• Shipped an automated patient check-in system through research with 5 therapists and 18 patients, increasing retention by 20% and reducing drop-off during the critical 1-2 session window.• Designed calendar-integrated automation and multi-channel notification system in collaboration with engineering, achieving a 67% patient completion rate.• Built design system patterns for automation workflows and progressive disclosure, enabling consistent implementation across future platform features.• Conducted user research, card sorting, and usability testing to validate design decisions before development, reducing rework and keeping the team aligned on user needs.
