ABOUT SHRIYA PAI
I\'m a quantum physicist now working in climate and energy policy, committed to public service and decarbonization across systems—buildings, the grid, transportation, and beyond. My path has spanned federal legislation, state implementation, and public sector consulting, shaped by a belief that climate policy must be ambitious, equitable, and grounded in how change happens on the ground. As a Science & Technology Policy Fellow in Congress, I work on energy, climate, and environment issues. Previously, I was a consultant at Boston Consulting Group, where I advised state agencies in New York, Massachusetts, and Washington on building decarbonization, grid planning, and clean energy workforce development. I’ve also collaborated on equity-centered climate initiatives in Boulder, Colorado, helping embed equity into municipal climate programs and supporting small businesses navigating electrification and sustainability incentives. Trained as a physicist, I now focus on making complex energy and climate policy work—for communities, for governments, and for the systems we need to transform.
