ABOUT SHRIRAM POUDEL

It all started with a nickname I got in school,\"Google\". From that day on I was hooked with information gathering and providing solutions. At early phases it was about gathering information from multiple sources so I can provide solutions for different problems my friends were struggling with.My first work experience came in the form of solving production problems. Used Lean, Six Sigma and multiple continuous improvement techniques to resolve many manufacturing issues. My experience lies in diverse manufacturing systems from Custom Manufacturing to Low mix/High Volume environment. I was Responsible for planning all aspect of manufacturing plan that directly impacted $100 million+ revenue stream between 3 factories. Some of the notable achievements were : about 20% increase in On Time Delivery, 33% increase in throughput, 15-20% reduction in lead timeQuickly after that I found that there is a profession for my passion called Data analysis, the art of telling data stories and solving problems with use of data. This was the spark I was missing and just got hooked from that moment on with Data and Analysis. Worked as a Materials and Inventory planning analyst and incorporated data analytics to solve material delivery and inventory level problems. Later took on the role to improve demand and capacity planning, created many models to solve core business problems. Also, worked as a Sales, Inventory and Operations planning manager to oversee all aspects of production and digitally transformed the SIOP process to more automated and data centric.My expertise lies in understanding the problem first and them acquiring skills needed to solve it and then train others to create a self-sustaining system. My expertise also includes SQL, Python Programming, Power BI, Business Intelligence, Excel, VBA/Macros, Access, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, Problem Solving, Root Cause Analysis, Capacity Planning, Demand Planning, Demand Forecasting, Inventory Planning, Materials Planning, Production Planning, Master Scheduling, Leadership, Product Management. My learning and my practice never stops, it continues even when I am cooking or having conversations with my friends.
