Shriram holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Alagappa College of Technology, Anna University, where he graduated among the department toppers. With a strong academic foundation, he has built a diverse career spanning consulting, manufacturing, and electric mobility.He is currently associated with Propel Industries, where he works on strategic initiatives and program management across the electric vehicle business. His role involves leading cross-functional projects, managing large-scale deployments, and driving cost optimization and new technology programs, providing him with wide exposure to multiple EV platforms and business models.Previously, he worked with the Murugappa Group as Lead Program Manager for special projects at Montra Electric, where he was responsible for driving strategic initiatives across the EV business portfolio. Prior to that, as a strategy consultant, he delivered projects in Aviation, Oil & Gas, and Power sectors, covering areas such as bid process management, acquisitions, fund setup, market analysis, financial modelling, and renewable energy transactions. He also gained entrepreneurial exposure as an EA to the CEO of a technology startup, where he supported a successful $1M Series A fundraise and contributed to long-term business planning.Shriram began his career as a Process Engineer at Carborundum Universal Ltd.(Murugappa Group), contributing to process cost reduction, optimization, and new product development initiatives. Recognized for his innovative work and leadership, he was named the best cross-functional team leader at the company’s annual fest. Over the course of his career, he has worked across multiple cities in India—including Chennai, Kochi, Thrissur, Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, and Gurgaon—enabling him to gain exposure to diverse business environments and operational challenges.
