Identified annualized supplier headwinds worth $20M and worked on mitigating them by dual and triple sourcing parts as well as creating DCRs (design for cost reduction) thereby achieving a savings of 2.5% of receipts. Working on mitigating top logistics (freight) headwinds worth $24.5M by leveraging foreign supply chain bases and negotiating with third party logistics suppliers. Implemented on 16 NPIs the supplier and logistics savings methodologies learned to ensure release to market at higher gross margins (>3% of average) by reducing total cost (TCOS). Eliminated tooling leakage worth $3.8M to customers by implementing ECR (Engineering Change Requests) to remove identified tooling part numbers from BOM for 4 business units. Project managed 7 groups to deliver quarterly business reviews to C-suite executives for creating gross margin strategic roadmap. Analyzed 13K part numbers with SMEs to identify 3K heater part numbers. Upon deep dive, removed 1.2K obsolete part numbers from the system Conducted acceptance, functional and usability testing for application of a security software called Seclore to the team’s internal databases. Project managed 2 teams to create an excel based BOM analysis tool to identify WoW price increases on a part level. Created mitigation plans with supply chain management team for $285M identified E&Z (excess & obsolete) costs. Tracked quarterly gross margin progress using heatmaps for all business units and worked with them to create plans for gross margin improvement. Created a database using smartsheet to track and proliferate Best Known Methods (BKMs), associated actions and drive ownership Designed and implemented a SharePoint site to store all gross margin related material thereby helping the teams to conveniently analyze and supersede the targets.
