ABOUT SHREYA S.
Hi! I\'m Shreya (she/her), an Eelam Tamil settler living on Treaty 13 territory. I\'m currently a Master of Public Health candidate at the University of Toronto, specializing in Indigenous Health. Alongside my studies, I have worked across non-profit, provincial, and federal systems to support culturally grounded mental health and substance use initiatives. My work sits at the intersection of Indigenous mental wellness, substance use health, youth engagement, and community-led systems change. Ultimately, I strive to ensure Indigenous and racialized youth voices meaningfully inform research, policy, and service design, without deficit-based narratives or extractive practices.I’m especially interested in community, research and policy work that honours Indigenous-led pathways to healing, supports meaningful youth and community participation, and bridges community knowledge with system-level change. I value slow, relational work and believe that good health systems are built through trust, listening, and shared responsibility. Please contact me at s••••••••@gmail.com if you\'re interested in academic and experiential partnerships!
