Dedicated health policy leader and AVP, Government Policy, with 15+ years’ experience, specializing in resolving complex healthcare policy issues through research and strategic engagement.Some examples include: Developed and oversaw the implementation of a strategic advocacy plan within budget at a leading medical association for 9+ years. Directed advocacy efforts to tie 36% of orthopaedic surgeons’ reimbursements to value-based care, enhancing care quality and reducing costs. Influenced redesign of Medicare value-based care payment models such as the Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement (CJR), the Bundled Payment for Care Improvement (BPCI) and the Transforming Episode Accountability (TEAM) models. Spearheaded the policy reversal to reinstate the Medicare Inpatient Only List preventing an increase in outpatient complications.
