Vehicle Planning & Deployment:Plan and allocate linehaul vehicles (owned or vendor-operated) to ensure timely dispatches as per schedule.Route & Lane Management:Monitor and manage intercity and intracity routes to maintain optimal transit time and service efficiency.Vendor Coordination:Liaise with transport vendors for vehicle placement, performance monitoring, and resolving operational issues.Fleet Utilization & Cost Control:Ensure effective vehicle utilization to control transportation costs and reduce empty mileage.On-Time Dispatch (OTD) & On-Time Arrival (OTA):Track and maintain service KPIs by ensuring adherence to schedule and minimizing delays.Documentation & Compliance:Verify trip sheets, vehicle documents, driver licenses, and ensure compliance with company and statutory norms.Exception & Delay Management:Handle en-route delays, breakdowns, or diversions by coordinating with operations and control tower teams.MIS & Reporting:Prepare daily/weekly MIS reports on vehicle movement, vendor performance, and lane productivity.Safety & Security:Ensure safe handling and secure movement of consignments as per Blue Dart’s operational and security standards.Coordination with Operations & Hub Teams:Work closely with hub operations, control tower, and customer service teams to ensure seamless movement of shipments.Vendor Billing & Verification:Check and verify vendor bills, trip data, and related documentation for accurate processing.
