Finance Performance Controlling Internship

During my internship at Siemens in the Performance Controlling Governance team, I worked on analyzing project costs and improving financial reporting. I used data from Cost Completed Method (CCM) and Percentage of Completion (POC) reports to create an automated “Actual Cost” tracker in Excel, which helped improve the accuracy and efficiency of reporting. I also looked at liability data over different time periods and built pivot summaries to spot trends by region and customer. By creating a dashboard from SAP data, I made it easier to understand and track liabilities. I also prepared a report on project-wise insurance costs, helping the team understand where coverage was needed. This hands-on experience sharpened my skills in cost controlling,Excel automation, and financial analysis.
