About Shreyas Gadekar
I am an experienced NVH testing and simulation specialist with a comprehensive background in vibration testing, durability validation, and test setup for generators and sub-systems. Over the years, I have honed my skills in data acquisition and signal processing, utilizing advanced tools such as LMS Test Lab, ANSYS, CATIA V5, and MATLAB. My technical expertise extends to a wide range of software and hardware, including Siemens LMS, laser vibrometers, accelerometers, and shakers.In my current role as an Experimental Mechanics Senior Engineer at Cummins Inc, I have successfully led a team of four in planning and executing NVH testing and analysis on generators ranging from 100KW to 2MW and their sub-components. I have conducted extensive linear, torsional, and modal vibration tests, ensuring compliance with industry standards and enhancing the reliability of our products. My work includes designing fixtures, automating manual post-processing using MATLAB and Visual Basic, and leading significant projects such as lab expansions and ISO 9001:2015 audits.Previously, as an NVH Research Assistant at MTU, I conducted a detailed FE modal analysis and performed lab vibration testing, contributing to the advancement of underwater propulsive applications through controlled traveling wave vibrations. My experience also includes designing and fabricating a special-purpose drone during my internship at the Defense Research and Development Organization in India.I am passionate about leveraging my skills in NVH testing and simulation to contribute to product excellence.
