About Shreyas Chandgothia
I am Shreyas Chandgothia, currently working as an Analyst at American Express, Gurgaon. I have completed a B.Tech in Engineering Physics with a Minor in Computer Science, and an M.Tech in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, from IIT Bombay. My home town is Chandigarh, India, where I have spent most of my childhood. Apart from my enthusiasm for Physics, I am deeply interested in algorithmic problem-solving inspired by tangible real-world applications. At IIT Bombay, I developed expertise in Machine Learning and Data Science through an Interdisciplinary Dual Degree Programme in the newly established Machine Intelligence department. I invested my 3rd and 4th year summers at IIT in corporate internships. One was as an Algorithmic Trader at Fox Trading Solutions, and the other was as a Data Analyst at Multiplier Technologies. The trading internship opened up the fascinating world of markets to me, and I became sure that I wanted to pursue a career at the intersection of Maths, Computer Science, and Finance. Coming to my hobbies, I love to watch and play sports. I follow cricket and tennis closely, and I’m always down to play badminton and table tennis with friends. Apart from this, I love interacting with and getting to know new people, which helps broaden my perspectives and understanding.
