ABOUT SHREYAS BHARADWAJ

Shreyas is currently serving as a Project Delivery Leader with RK & K’s transportation group. Shreyas\' roles and responsibilities include the development and evaluation of creative alternatives to address operational and safety deficiencies; and the documentation of all analyses, assumptions and methodology into engineering reports. Project assignments range from small-scale studies and/or designs for rural or isolated intersections to the development of complex solutions for urban arterial networks and major freeway systems. His specialty areas include congestion management studies, traffic forecasting, travel demand modeling, transit studies, traffic impact analysis, transportation planning, traffic operation and safety studies. He brings extensive experience in numerous software packages including HCS, Synchro/ SimTraffic, Sidra, VISSIM, TransModeler, TransCAD, CUBE, VISUM, FHWA’s Surrogate Safety Assessment Model (SSAM), and MicroStation. Besides working on a wide variety of projects for NCDOT, Shreyas has played a key role on several projects assisting VDOT, TDOT, SCDOT, MDSHA, FDOT, GDOT and LADOTD. His research areas include traffic operation and safety analysis at Diverging Diamond Interchanges (DDI), Pedestrian and Bicycle safety on Super Streets and implementation of travel time reliability on major freeway, arterial networks and transit networks. His experience include traffic operational analyses, development and evaluation of creative alternatives to address operational and safety deficiencies; and the documentation of all analyses, assumptions and methodology into engineering reports.
