Here’s a bit about myself: I am very passionate about Emotions in AI and am \"BUILDING BOTS WITH A HEART\" because I love computers and machines, but I love people and human connection even more. Emotions are the most important part of human nature and I am working towards making machines more human. I am a firm believer that we can make computers truly intelligent if they can be empathetic and not artificially intelligent. My dream project is to work on Suicide Prevention technology using AI. My journey and work has been featured in various news articles and blogs including The Science Blog, Virtual Beings, Built in LA, USC news and the USC Viterbi School of Engineering news. I am also working towards making AI accessible to everyone rather than it being only for a few uber rich corporations. It is very important to me that all the work I am doing is not just limited to a fortunate few, but everyone can access it. I want to help women and students across the world to build a career in the field of Data Science and AI. Till date, I have taught and mentored hundreds of students through webinars and individual sessions and been a mentor to female entrepreneurs as a part of Women in AI, USA and Women In Engineering, UBC. I founded my first startup back in 2014 and later was the founding AI Engineer, co-inventor in the patent technology and the Lead Data Scientist for an AI Startup based in Los Angeles. We were building empathetic conversation AI to connect Real Estate Investors with their customers. I recently joined forces with a team of over a dozen super talented Data Scientists supporting more than 400 brands under Internet Brands (IB) and WebMD. Our team is making huge strides and creating state-of-the-art technology to improve the operations and performance of products that reach more than business clients and 250 million monthly website visitors in the legal, health, automotive, and home and travel industries. I love public speaking and have given various Seminars and tech talks (various universities and IBM Data Science meetups) on Data Science, Career Building, and Emotional Intelligence.
