Randy Shrewsberry is a Fire Investigator with National Fire Experts, where he specializes in fire origin and cause investigations, and complex forensic analysis. With more than three decades of investigative experience across both the public and private sectors, Randy leads and supports multidisciplinary inquiries involving structural fires, vehicle fires, product failures, and technically complex reconstruction cases. His work emphasizes rigorous methodology, scene-level precision, and courtroom-defensible conclusions.Before joining National Fire Experts, Randy oversaw investigations, strategic development, and trial planning for a national complex product-liability law firm, managing an internal forensic team focused on fire investigations, crash reconstruction, medical analysis, and forensic animations and videography. In that role, he coordinated with external experts and guided cases from initial analysis through courtroom presentation, developing a holistic approach that blends investigative science with trial strategy.Over the course of his career, Randy has reconstructed thousands of auto crashes and hundreds of automobile and structural fires. He has lectured on criminal justice matters and has been admitted as an expert in both criminal and civil courts in South Carolina and California.Prior to serving as Chief Strategy Officer at that firm, Randy was its Chief Technology Officer, where he led the buildout of core infrastructure platforms including Filevine, Lead Docket, and SharePoint. His technical leadership helped modernize the firm’s operations to meet the demands of fast-moving, high-risk litigation.Randy holds both the CompTIA Security+ and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certifications and has completed extensive training in digital forensics, ethical hacking, and artificial intelligence. His deep technical acumen gives him a unique advantage—combining investigative expertise with the ability to design secure, efficient, and strategically aligned systems.His broader leadership experience in the justice system includes serving as Founder and CEO of a forensic investigations firm, Director of Forensic Services at a forensic engineering company, and Executive Director of a national nonprofit focused on criminal justice reform.As a criminal justice reform advocate, Randy has contributed to PBS Frontline, MSNBC, USA Today, the New York Times, the Washington Post, and other national outlets. He remains a respected voice on police training and procedure.
