ABOUT SHREEFĀL MEHTA

I am an entrepreneur and investor with over 25 years of experience in transforming scientific research into successful commercial products. I have co-founded, led, and advised several biotech and energy companies, bringing innovations from the lab to the market across multiple domains and geographies. My mission is to help create and scale impactful solutions for major societal challenges, such as healthcare, climate change, and digitalization. Currently, I am an Executive In Residence at Columbia Tech Ventures, the technology transfer office of Columbia University, and an advisor to the Dept of Biotechnology, Govt of India, where I work with entrepreneurs and inventors to facilitate the transfer of research innovations from the lab to the market, as well as supporting startup efforts. I am also co-founder and Executive Chair and board member of Pulmokine, a biotech company whose new drug for pulmonary hypertension is in now in human clinical trials, and also a founder and CBO of Repoxegen Therapeutics which is developing a game changing therapy for retinal and neuro-degenerative disease. I am the President of PRC Tech LLC, which is selling high-energy, 2nd-gen lithium ion supercapacitors for various applications. I leverage my expertise in strategy, R&D planning, and international business development to enable and empower the next generation of innovators and leaders.
