ABOUT SHRADDHA BADARAVADA

As a Senior Policy Advisor and MA candidate in Security and Defence Policy at the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs (NPSIA), I bring a strategic and interdisciplinary lens to complex policy challenges. With over seven years of experience across government, non-profit, and private sectors, I specialize in policy development, strategic foresight, and stakeholder engagement to inform high-impact decisions and drive meaningful outcomes.I hold an Honours degree in Public Affairs and Policy Management from Carleton University and have enhanced my expertise through certifications from HarvardX and Oxfam, focusing on citizen politics and social change. Throughout my career, I’ve contributed to a range of high-impact initiatives. I led the development of a digital strategy policy framework at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada and supported the implementation of two major federal projects focused on digitization and essential records. While serving as Associate Director of Government Relations, I also led state-level initiatives in skill development and education during an international assignment in India, working closely with government stakeholders and institutional partners.Currently advancing my knowledge in security and defence policy at NPSIA, I remain committed to innovative, evidence-based approaches to policymaking. I’m passionate about addressing today’s most pressing challenges and thrive in collaborative environments that bridge disciplines, sectors, and perspectives.
