Being an ECE undergraduate helped me a lot when it came to understanding the statistics and math concepts in Introduction to Machine Learning (ECPE25) and Neural Networks and Deep Learning(ECPE26) electives offered by the department. Being an Engineer at Collins Aerospace helped me solve complex engineering problems and changed my perspective to thinking in terms of business problems. This experience allowed me to understand the working of a company and kind of the problems/ challenges an organization solves. Most importantly, I learned what kind of skill sets will be required to solve such challenges.Pursuing a higher degree course in analytics at BITS Pilani will help me in acquiring the skill sets of an ML Developer/Engineer. This step hopefully will lead me to be able to understand a business problem, convert it into a data science problem, and solve it using ML algorithms.
