About Shown Epley

As a former U.S. Air Force intelligence officer and cybersecurity leader, I’ve spent over two decades building and defending complex systems in some of the most challenging environments in the world.My career spans more than 20 years in software engineering, offensive and defensive cyber operations, reverse engineering, and digital forensics. Ten of those years were spent supporting U.S. Military and State Department missions, where I led teams focused on solving critical national security challenges through technology and innovation.Today, I’m leveraging that experience in the private sector as Head of Business Development at Cogility Software. I help organizations harness the power of real-time analytics with Cogynt, our advanced decision intelligence platform, enabling them to detect threats, manage risk, and act with speed and confidence.Outside of work, I’m passionate about exploration and the outdoors. I’m currently building a new project to share unique insights and guides to the U.S. National Parks—blending technology, storytelling, and a love for America’s wild places.
